Water/Sewer Rate Study
The Board of Alderpersons contracted with Carl Brown of GettingGreatRates.com to do a complete analysis of revenues and expenditures for the water and sewer departments and come back with a rate recommendation. Expenditures have been exceeding revenues in the water department for the last couple of years with dwindling reserves, and there are infrastructure improvements that need to be done in both water and sewer infrastructure. The rate study is linked above so customers can review the report in its entirety.
The study was presented to the board on March 13 with a public hearing set for the April 24 Board meeting at 6p. The public is invited to attend. See the proposed new rates below.
